Kizzy Crawford is a versatile composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer who blends jazz, folk, soul and funk in her music. Her music has garnered support from BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, 6 Music, Jazz FM while her single ‘Progression’ was added to Jo Whiley and Simon Mayo’s BBC Radio 2 drivetime playlist. Kizzy has performed live on BBC Radio 4, including for Woman’s Hour, and on BBC Radio 3’s The Verbs talent programme.
Kizzy has played at many prestigious festivals including Glastonbury, Womex, The Great Escape, Cambridge Folk Festival, Other Voices, Cheltenham Jazz, Focus Wales, Celtic Connections and the London Jazz Festival, she has also performed at L’Orient in France, in Canada at The Prince Edward Island Festival and at M for Montreal in Toronto. She has shared stages with artists including Omar Lye-Fook, Joss Stone and Bryn Terfel.
Several of Kizzy’s songs are included in the WJEC A Level & GCSE Music syllabus alongside Gruff Rhys, The Manics and the Super Furry Animals.
Kizzy has also worked on television and film compositions, including music for BBC’s June: Voice of a Silent Twin and Complexity of Skin and she recently composed the music for Ballet Cymru’s production of Daughter of the Sea.
