TOMOS LEWIS

Tomos Lewis, mines lilting folk melodies similar to Irish balladeer Damien rice. The amiable singer’s voice soars on these introspective tunes
— The Big Issue

After leaving home to work near the Snowdonian Mountains in Dolgellau, Tomos found himself with little to do until he was given a Washburn guitar with three strings. By the end of the summer, he'd managed to get it to six strings and began learning from local musicians in exchange for a place to stay and the occasional beer.

His journey into music deepened when he recorded at the national folk center, Siamas, with Welsh producer Dyl Mei. His set of original songs earned applause, marking the start of his solo career.

Now a regular performer on the music scene in Cardiff, Tomos' melodic hooks, sweet harmonies, and alt-country/folk influences have earned him comparisons to artists like Ryan Adams and Bon Iver.

TOMOS LEWIS plays at The Dogs Home, Ruabon House on Sunday 23 March - see the line up HERE
